The TYR Hydroblade Fins are short blade training fins engineered to promote short, quick leg and foot movement, helping swimmers develop a natural flutter kick. Made from 100% silicone with a comfort fit design, the Hydroblade features channel side rails that amplify power, an angled blade surface for upward kick resistance, rounded edges in the foot cavity to prevent discomfort, an innovative heel strap, and a convenient pull tab. Available in five sizes from Small through to XX-Large, each size is colour-coded for easy identification.

Sizing is based on UK shoe size. US Men’s, US Women’s and EU equivalents are also shown.

  • Each size is colour-coded and only available in one colour — Small in Green, Medium in Yellow, Large in Red, X-Large in Blue, and XX-Large in Black. The colour cannot be chosen separately from the size.
  • The fin should fit snugly around the foot with the heel strap sitting securely at the back of the ankle. If the heel strap feels loose or the fin slides off during kicking, try the next size down.
  • The 100% silicone construction provides a firm but flexible feel. The rounded edges in the foot cavity are designed to minimise pressure points during training.
  • The short blade design promotes a faster kick cadence and is suitable for swimmers at every level, from technique development through to performance training sets.
  • Rinse in fresh water after every session and allow to dry naturally away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not leave compressed in a bag when wet.

The Hydroblade features an innovative heel strap design that loops around the back of the heel to keep the fin securely in place during training. The strap is flexible and comfortable and includes a pull tab to make the fins easier to put on and take off. The fin should sit snugly with the heel strap holding the back of the foot without pinching.

The angled blade surface is designed to create upward kick resistance as the foot moves through the water. This resistance targets the muscles used in the upward phase of the flutter kick, helping to develop a more balanced, powerful kick that works effectively in both directions.
