TWF Gloves Size Guide

This size guide covers TWF Gloves, available in six sizes from 2XS through to XLG. Sizing is based on two hand measurements — palm width and hand length (base of palm to tip of middle finger). Both measurements are garment measurements and give an estimated best fit. TWF use abbreviated size codes (2XS, XSM, SML, MED, LGE, XLG) — use these codes when ordering.

How to Measure

Use a soft tape measure and take both measurements on your dominant hand directly against the skin.

  • A
Palm Width Measure across the widest part of your palm, just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. This is the primary sizing measurement.
  • B
Hand Length Measure from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Use this as a secondary check alongside palm width.

Match both measurements to the size table. Where they suggest different sizes, use palm width as the primary guide. If between sizes, size up for comfort.

Sizing Table — TWF Gloves
TWF Size Code Palm Width (cm) Hand Length (cm)*
2XS 7 cm 16 cm
XSM 7.5 cm 16.5 cm
SML 8 cm 18.5 cm
MED 9.5 cm 19.5 cm
LGE 10.5 cm 20.5 cm

Fit Notes — TWF Gloves
  • Size based on palm width as the primary measurement, with hand length used as a secondary check. Where the two measurements suggest different sizes, palm width takes priority.
  • TWF use abbreviated size codes (2XS, XSM, SML, MED, LGE, XLG) rather than standard S/M/L labels — use the code when ordering.
  • The measurements give an estimated best fit. If between sizes, size up for a more comfortable fit with easier finger movement, or size down for a snugger, more secure feel.
  • The glove should fit snugly across the palm and fingers without excessive bunching at the fingertips or pulling across the back of the hand. If the glove feels tight across the knuckles, try the next size up.
  • Rinse in fresh water after every use and allow to dry naturally away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not tumble dry or store compressed when wet.

Frequently Asked Questions — TWF Gloves

Measure your palm width across the widest part of your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Also measure from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Match both to the size table above, using palm width as the primary guide. Note the TWF size code and use it when ordering.

TWF use abbreviated size codes rather than standard S/M/L labels. 2XS is the smallest (7 cm palm width), XSM covers 7.5 cm, SML covers 8 cm, MED covers 9.5 cm, LGE covers 10.5 cm, and XLG is the largest at 11 cm palm width.

Use palm width as the primary guide. Hand length is a secondary check to confirm the glove will be comfortable in terms of finger length as well as palm width. If the two measurements suggest different sizes, palm width takes priority as it is the more critical fit dimension for gloves.

Yes. TWF gloves are designed for open water and watersports use, providing thermal protection for hands in cold water. Check the specific product description for details on neoprene thickness and intended use for each glove style.

Size up for a more comfortable fit with easier finger movement, particularly for extended wear during open water swimming. Size down for a snugger, more secure fit that reduces water ingress. For most open water swimmers, sizing up is generally more comfortable during longer swims.

Rinse thoroughly in fresh water after every use to remove salt, chlorine, and debris. Turn inside out to rinse the interior as well. Allow to dry naturally away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not tumble dry, iron, or store compressed when wet.
