Adidas Footwear Size Guide

This size guide covers Adidas men's and women's footwear. Adidas footwear uses a unified size scale — UK sizes are the primary reference, with EU, US Men and US Women equivalents shown alongside. Sizing is based on foot length measured heel to toe. For the best fit, measure your feet at the end of the day when they are at their largest.

Between sizes? For a tighter fit, go one size down. For a looser fit, go one size up.

How to Measure
Adidas footwear measurement guide — measure heel to toe length
Step-by-Step Measuring Guide

Measure both feet and use the larger measurement to select your size. Feet can differ slightly in length.

  • 1
Place your foot on paper Stand on a flat, hard floor. Place a piece of paper under your foot and ensure your weight is evenly distributed.
  • 2
Mark heel and longest toe Mark the furthest point of your heel and the tip of your longest toe (this is not always the big toe).
  • 3
Measure the distance Measure the distance between the two marks in centimetres or inches. This is your heel-to-toe foot length.
  • 4
Match to the size table Find your measurement in the heel-to-toe row of the table below and read off your UK, EU or US size.

Measure at the end of the day when feet are at their largest. If between sizes, size up for a looser fit or size down for a tighter fit.

Fit Notes — Adidas Footwear
  • Adidas footwear uses a unified size scale for men and women — the same UK and EU sizes apply to both. US sizing differs between men and women, so check the correct column when using US sizes.
  • Always size from your heel-to-toe foot length, not from your usual shoe size in another brand. Sizing can vary between footwear manufacturers.
  • Measure both feet and use the larger measurement. It is common for feet to differ slightly in length.
  • Measure at the end of the day when feet are at their largest due to natural swelling during activity.
  • Between sizes? Size down for a snugger, performance fit. Size up for a more relaxed, comfortable fit.
  • US Women’s sizing does not extend to the largest sizes in the Adidas range — sizes above UK 14.5 are available in UK, EU, and US Men’s sizing only.

Frequently Asked Questions — Adidas Footwear Sizing

Measure your foot from heel to toe in centimetres or inches and match to the size table above. UK sizing is the primary reference. If your measurement falls between two sizes, size down for a tighter fit or size up for a looser fit. Always measure at the end of the day when feet are at their largest.

UK and EU sizes are the same for both men and women in the Adidas size scale. US sizing differs — a UK 7 is a US Men’s 7.5 and a US Women’s 8.5, for example. Always check the correct US column for your gender if using US sizes, and use UK or EU as the primary reference where possible.

Feet naturally swell slightly during the day due to activity and gravity. Measuring at the end of the day gives you the largest foot measurement, which ensures the shoe you select will be comfortable throughout the day rather than feeling tight by the afternoon.

Adidas recommend sizing down for a tighter, more performance-oriented fit, and sizing up for a looser, more comfortable fit. For swimming pool footwear such as slides and sandals, sizing up is generally more comfortable. For trainers and training shoes worn during activity, your personal preference for fit tightness should guide the choice.

Adidas US Women’s sizing extends to UK 14.5 (US Women’s 15.5). Sizes above this are only available in UK, EU, and US Men’s sizing. If you require a size larger than UK 14.5 and prefer to use US sizing, use the US Men’s column as your reference.

We recommend measuring your foot rather than relying on your size in another brand, as sizing can vary between footwear manufacturers. Your heel-to-toe foot length in cm or inches is the most reliable starting point for selecting the correct Adidas size.
