Description
xThe Air 3 uses the same ultra-lightweight Carbon Shell fabric that made the Air family legendary. Maximum flexibility, excellent water feel and the light-as-air sense of support in the water that competitive swimmers have trusted for over a decade. At 113 g/m², it is the lightest fabric weight in the entire Powerskin range.
New internal taping construction with leg-lifting technology drawn from the Primo and Veloce elite suits lifts the legs and hips for optimal body positioning. The result is reduced drag and improved stability through every stroke, turn and finish. This is elite technology previously reserved for arena’s highest-tier competition suits, now brought into the Air family.
Horizontal carbon bands woven into the base fabric lock at critical stretch, delivering targeted moderate compression, stability and power exactly when and where it is needed during competition. Extended waist-to-knee coverage works alongside the leg-lifting construction for superior hydrodynamics and all-day race comfort across multiple events.

The Air 3 retains the same 113 g/m² Carbon Shell fabric as the Air 2 but adds four key upgrades: new leg-lifting internal taping construction, an upgraded premium internal lining, extended waist-to-knee leg coverage and a refined Carbon Band Power System. The Air 2 continues in production in black and blue colourways and remains a strong choice, but the Air 3 introduces elite-tier construction technology drawn from the Primo and Veloce families.
Yes, the Powerskin Air 3 is World Aquatics approved and competition legal. Always verify your specific suit against the current World Aquatics approved swimwear list before your race, as approval lists are updated periodically.
The Air 3 Jammer is available in UK sizes 22 to 34. Arena elite racing suits are cut to fit close to the body, so sizing can differ from training wear. See our Arena Powerskin Air3 Mens Size Guide for full measurements and guidance on choosing the right size for a competition fit.
The leg-lifting construction uses internal taping at the hamstring seams to actively lift the legs and hips when you are in the water, promoting a flatter, more streamlined body position. This technology was previously reserved for arena’s Primo and Veloce elite suits. It works alongside the extended waist-to-knee coverage and carbon band compression to reduce drag and improve stability through every stroke, turn and finish.

Allens Swimwear is a family-run business founded in 1976 by Dennis Allen and his daughter Linda Beal. It started from a genuine need. “With 2 swimmers in the family it was often difficult to find the right kit, so dad and I took the plunge and started selling to local swimmers at our local pool in Kingsbury out of a suitcase and we’ve never looked back.” Today, Linda, her husband Richard, and three of their children Danny, Will and Jenna still run the business together. The suitcase may be long gone, but the founding principle of helping swimmers get the right kit remains exactly the same.

This size guide covers the Arena Powerskin Air 3 Men's Jammer — the newest member of the most popular elite racing suit family in arena history. Born from the same iconic Carbon shell fabric athletes have trusted for over a decade, the Air 3 adds key upgrades: new leg-lifting internal taping construction, an upgraded hydrophobic lining, and extended waist-to-knee coverage — all while retaining the ultra-light second-skin feel the Air family is renowned for. World Aquatics (FINA) approved.
All measurements are body measurements taken directly from your body. Use your Hip (B) as the primary sizing guide.

Measure your waist (A) and hip (B) using a soft tape measure directly against your skin. Use the hip as the primary guide and compare both measurements to the sizing table above. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you are unsure.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, use the hip measurement to decide and select the larger size. Arena racing jammers are designed to fit closely — a correctly fitted suit should feel firm and supportive without restricting breathing or leg movement. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you need further guidance.
The Primo uses Hyperforce tensoelastic fabric (220 g/m²) with the greatest compression in the range — the most powerful suit Arena make. The Air 3 uses Carbon shell fabric (113 g/m²) — the lightest in the Powerskin range — with an ultra-light second-skin feel and more flexibility than the Primo. Both suits now feature leg-lifting internal construction. The Air 3 is ideal for swimmers who prefer an energising but more comfortable fit across a full competition day.
Leg-lifting construction refers to the new internal taping system with hamstring seams that physically lift the legs and hips when the suit is worn — creating optimal body positioning in the water, reducing drag, and improving stability through every stroke, turn and finish. This technology was previously reserved for Arena's elite Primo and Veloce suits and is new to the Air 3.
Yes — the Arena Powerskin Air 3 Jammer is World Aquatics (FINA) approved for use in all sanctioned competitive swimming events. Always verify approval status on the current World Aquatics approved swimwear list before competition, as the list is updated regularly. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you need further guidance.
Arena racing jammers are competition garments and are not designed for regular training use. Using a tech suit for training will degrade the Carbon shell fabric and significantly reduce its performance lifespan. Reserve the Air 3 for competition and key race sessions. Arena offer a wide range of dedicated training jammers for everyday pool use.
Arena racing jammer sizes (22–34) do not directly correspond to standard clothing sizes. Always use body measurements to select the correct Arena size. The international size equivalents shown in the table (France, UK, USA, Italy, Germany) are provided as a secondary reference — always prioritise body measurements when selecting your size.
Rinse in cold fresh water immediately after every use. Do not leave the wet suit in a bag for extended periods and do not expose to direct sunlight. Hand wash gently with a mild detergent if needed. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, wring, iron, or dry-clean. Lay flat to dry away from direct heat sources. Avoid contact with sunscreen, oils, and rough pool surfaces.
