Take four body measurements — chest, waist, hip, and torso — using a soft tape measure against your skin. Use your chest measurement as the primary guide and compare to the sizing table above. The torso measurement is taken from the top of one shoulder, down the front of the body, under the crotch, and back up to the same shoulder. For one-piece swimsuits, this is an important measurement as it determines how the suit fits through the body length. If your torso sits at the top end of a size bracket, the suit may feel short in the body — in this case, try the next size up and compare torso ranges.

TYR sizes 28 and 30 both correspond to US S 4/6, and sizes 32 and 34 both correspond to US M 8. This reflects the fact that TYR's numeric sizing offers more granularity than standard US clothing sizes within the same general size range. Always use your body measurements — chest, waist, hip, and torso — to determine whether size 28 or 30, or 32 or 34, is the better fit for you.

TYR swimwear is designed for a close, performance fit and the fabrics ease slightly with wear. If you are between sizes on chest, size down and check the suit feels secure but not uncomfortably tight. Both sets of values are body measurements taken directly from your body, not garment measurements.

Rinse your TYR swimsuit thoroughly in cold fresh water immediately after every use to remove chlorine, salt, and sunscreen. Hand wash gently with a mild detergent if needed. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, or dry-clean. Store the suit flat and dry, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the fabric's elasticity and colour over time.

TYR swimsuits are primarily designed for pool use. While the chlorine-resistant fabrics will tolerate occasional use in open water or the sea, prolonged exposure to salt water can accelerate fabric degradation. Always rinse the suit thoroughly in fresh water after every use. For dedicated open water or triathlon swimming, a purpose-built open water suit or wetsuit is recommended.
