Description
xThe exterior of the Carbon Air2 is constructed from a single continuous piece of fabric, meaning there are no seams to create friction or interrupt water flow over the body. This seamless shell produces a uniformly smooth surface against the water, maximising hydrodynamic efficiency from the first stroke to the final touch. For elite racing, where fractions of a second count, that drag reduction is a genuine competitive advantage.
Horizontal bands of integrated carbon fibre run across the suit, applying targeted compression to key muscle groups throughout a race. This muscle stabilisation reduces unwanted movement and vibration, conserving energy and maintaining powerful stroke mechanics even in the closing stages of a race. The result is a suit that supports your body as hard as you push it, without restricting natural range of motion.
While the exterior shell maximises hydrodynamics, the internal three-piece lining is engineered entirely around your freedom of movement. The multi-panel lining construction allows the suit to flex and extend with your body in every plane of motion, so your kick and pull are never impeded. Arena has also designed this kneesuit to go on easily, reducing the effort and time of suiting up before competition.

All measurements are body measurements, not garment measurements. For further guidance view our full size guide or contact our team.
Tech suit sizing differs from standard training suit sizing and it is important to get this right for both performance and comfort. Arena kneesuits are designed to fit with firm compression, so many swimmers size down from their usual training suit. Please refer to our dedicated size guide at Arena Powerskin Carbon Air2 Womens Size Guide for Arena Powerskin Carbon Air2 specific measurements and guidance.
After each use, rinse the suit thoroughly in cool, clean water as soon as possible to remove chlorine and pool chemicals. Do not wring or twist the suit. Lay it flat or hang to dry away from direct heat and sunlight. Never machine wash, tumble dry, or iron a tech suit. For full aftercare guidance, see full product aftercare guide.
Yes. The Carbon Air2 carries full World Aquatics (FINA) approval and is legal for use in all sanctioned competitive swimming events at every level, from club galas through to international competition.
Tech suits are precision performance garments and are designed for racing rather than repeated daily training use. With correct aftercare and careful storage, a well-maintained Carbon Air2 should last for a meaningful number of race performances. To protect longevity, always rinse in cool water immediately after use, handle with care when putting the suit on, and avoid contact with rough poolside surfaces.

Allens Swimwear is a family-run business founded in 1976 by Dennis Allen and his daughter Linda Beal. It started from a genuine need. “With 2 swimmers in the family it was often difficult to find the right kit, so dad and I took the plunge and started selling to local swimmers at our local pool in Kingsbury out of a suitcase and we’ve never looked back.” Today, Linda, her husband Richard, and three of their children Danny, Will and Jenna still run the business together. The suitcase may be long gone, but the founding principle of helping swimmers get the right kit remains exactly the same.

Size chart
This size guide covers the Arena Powerskin Carbon Air² Women’s Racing Suit. The most lightweight of the Carbon series, the Carbon Air² features a stitch-free exterior for unmatched hydrodynamics and a single-piece construction that reduces pressure on the hip area while providing a second-skin feeling of comfort. The absence of multiple seams makes the suit easier to put on and take off compared to other technical suits.
Horizontal Carbon Band technology is woven into the suit to provide mild, targeted muscle compression that stabilises and activates key muscles without sacrificing comfort and flexibility. The three-panel internal lining combined with the open-back design reduces pressure in the chest area, allowing for a full range of motion in the upper body. All measurements are body measurements taken directly from your body. Use your Torso Loop (D) as the primary sizing guide.

Take all measurements directly against your skin using a soft tape measure. Use the Torso Loop (D) as the primary sizing guide — this determines how the suit sits across the shoulders and through the body.
If measurements fall between sizes, use the Torso Loop as the primary guide. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you are unsure.

All measurements are body measurements, not garment measurements. Use the Torso Loop (D) as the primary sizing guide. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you are unsure.
Watch our guide to measuring for the Arena Powerskin Carbon Air² Women's.
Measure your chest (A), waist (B), hip (C), and torso loop (D) using a soft tape measure directly against your skin. Use the Torso Loop as the primary guide and compare all measurements to the sizing table above. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you are unsure.
The Torso Loop is measured by running a soft tape measure over one shoulder, down the front of the body, under the crotch, and back up to the same shoulder. This is the most important measurement for a racing suit as it determines how the suit sits across the shoulders and through the body.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, speak to a member of staff at Allens who will be happy to advise on the best fit for you. Arena racing suits are designed to fit closely — a suit that fits correctly should feel firm and supportive without restricting breathing or movement.
A tech suit should feel firm and compressive but wearable throughout a full competition day. It should be completely wrinkle-free when correctly fitted — any bunching or gathering indicates the suit is too large. The suit should feel tight but should not restrict breathing or cause pain. Seams and panels should lie flat with no rubbing or pressure points.
Arena racing suits are competition suits and are not designed for regular training use. Using a tech suit for training will degrade the fabric and reduce its lifespan significantly. Reserve it for races and competition warm-ups. Arena offer a wide range of training swimsuits for everyday pool use.
Rinse the suit in cold fresh water immediately after every use. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, or dry-clean. Store flat and dry, away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with sunscreen, oils, and petroleum-based products. Do not wring or twist the suit. Handle with care when putting on and taking off to protect the fabric.
Arena racing suit sizes (18–34) do not directly correspond to standard clothing sizes. Always use body measurements to select the correct Arena size. The international size equivalents shown in the table (France, USA/UK, Italy, Germany) are provided as a secondary reference — always prioritise body measurements.
Yes — the Arena Powerskin Carbon Air² meets FINA/World Aquatics specifications and is approved for use in all sanctioned competitive swimming events. Always check with your event organiser for any local rules regarding tech suits in competition. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you need further guidance.
