Arena Powerskin Air3 Mens Size Guide

This size guide covers the Arena Powerskin Air 3 Men's Jammer — the newest member of the most popular elite racing suit family in arena history. Born from the same iconic Carbon shell fabric athletes have trusted for over a decade, the Air 3 adds key upgrades: new leg-lifting internal taping construction, an upgraded hydrophobic lining, and extended waist-to-knee coverage — all while retaining the ultra-light second-skin feel the Air family is renowned for. World Aquatics (FINA) approved.

All measurements are body measurements taken directly from your body. Use your Hip (B) as the primary sizing guide.

Arena Powerskin Air 3 Men's body measurement points — waist and hip
How to Measure

Take all measurements directly against your skin using a soft tape measure. Use the Hip (B) as the primary sizing guide.

  • A
WaistMeasure at the narrowest part of your natural waist, keeping the tape horizontal and level.
  • B
HipMeasure around the fullest, widest part of your hips and seat, keeping the tape horizontal. This is the primary sizing measurement.

If measurements fall between sizes, use the hip measurement to decide. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you are unsure.

Fit Notes — Arena Powerskin Air 3 Men's
  • Use the Hip (B) as the primary sizing guide — the jammer needs to seat correctly over the hips before the waistband can sit flat.
  • If your measurements fall between sizes, speak to a member of staff at Allens who will be happy to advise on the best fit.
  • The Carbon shell fabric (113 g/m²) delivers an ultra-light second-skin feel with horizontal carbon band compression — firm and energising, with notably more flexibility than the Primo. The suit should feel comfortable and wearable across a full competition day with multiple events.
  • The leg-lifting internal taping should feel like it is actively keeping the hips and legs high — if any taping feels twisted or uncomfortable, check your size against the table above.
  • The waistband can sit high or low to suit your preference — ensure it sits flat with no rolling regardless of the position chosen. Leg hems should end above the knee in line with World Aquatics regulations.
  • The suit should be completely wrinkle-free when correctly fitted — any bunching or gathering indicates the suit is too large.
  • Allow 10–15 minutes to put on correctly for the first time. Take care with fingernails and jewellery to protect the fabric.
  • Do not use sunscreen, oils, or petroleum-based products before putting on the suit as these degrade the fabric.
  • Rinse in cold fresh water immediately after each use. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, or dry-clean.

Frequently Asked Questions — Arena Powerskin Air 3 Men's

Measure your waist (A) and hip (B) using a soft tape measure directly against your skin. Use the hip as the primary guide and compare both measurements to the sizing table above. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you are unsure.

If your measurements fall between two sizes, use the hip measurement to decide and select the larger size. Arena racing jammers are designed to fit closely — a correctly fitted suit should feel firm and supportive without restricting breathing or leg movement. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you need further guidance.

The Primo uses Hyperforce tensoelastic fabric (220 g/m²) with the greatest compression in the range — the most powerful suit Arena make. The Air 3 uses Carbon shell fabric (113 g/m²) — the lightest in the Powerskin range — with an ultra-light second-skin feel and more flexibility than the Primo. Both suits now feature leg-lifting internal construction. The Air 3 is ideal for swimmers who prefer an energising but more comfortable fit across a full competition day.

Leg-lifting construction refers to the new internal taping system with hamstring seams that physically lift the legs and hips when the suit is worn — creating optimal body positioning in the water, reducing drag, and improving stability through every stroke, turn and finish. This technology was previously reserved for Arena's elite Primo and Veloce suits and is new to the Air 3.

Yes — the Arena Powerskin Air 3 Jammer is World Aquatics (FINA) approved for use in all sanctioned competitive swimming events. Always verify approval status on the current World Aquatics approved swimwear list before competition, as the list is updated regularly. Speak to a member of staff at Allens if you need further guidance.

Arena racing jammers are competition garments and are not designed for regular training use. Using a tech suit for training will degrade the Carbon shell fabric and significantly reduce its performance lifespan. Reserve the Air 3 for competition and key race sessions. Arena offer a wide range of dedicated training jammers for everyday pool use.

Arena racing jammer sizes (22–34) do not directly correspond to standard clothing sizes. Always use body measurements to select the correct Arena size. The international size equivalents shown in the table (France, UK, USA, Italy, Germany) are provided as a secondary reference — always prioritise body measurements when selecting your size.

Rinse in cold fresh water immediately after every use. Do not leave the wet suit in a bag for extended periods and do not expose to direct sunlight. Hand wash gently with a mild detergent if needed. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, wring, iron, or dry-clean. Lay flat to dry away from direct heat sources. Avoid contact with sunscreen, oils, and rough pool surfaces.
